Apple Music Continues Livestream Series With Billie Eilish Performance

Livestreaming concerts and shows picked up a lot of steam during the pandemic, and it’s a trend that’s continuing even with the return of in-person events, with major festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival and Stagecoach livestreaming performances and finding ways to reach fans who may not be able to travel to attend the shows in person.

Apple Music has been a popular platform for many livestreams featuring major artists over the past couple years, and it officially launched concert livestreaming series Apple Music Live earlier this year to help artists reach more of their fans. Featured artists so far have included stars like Luke Combs and Harry Styles.

The next show to stream on the platform will be a Billie Eilish concert this Friday, September 30th, which also marks the end of her “Happier Then Ever” world tour. In this case, the stream will be a pre-recorded film of her performance at the O2 Arena in London from June 16th, meaning that fans who were in attendance will also be able to watch and relive the event.

In a video posted on Twitter yesterday, Billie said, “I am so excited to bring the Happier Than Ever world tour to Apple Music Live. This is my favorite tour I’ve ever done and you can watch the show this Friday, September 30th only on Apple Music. I can’t wait for you to see it!”

Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s Co-Head of Artist Relations and Apple Music 1 Host, added, “This show is such a gift for Billie’s fans around the world who weren’t able to make it out to witness one of the best concerts of 2022 and also the perfect opportunity to revisit the excitement for those who did.”

The stream kicks off at 10pm ET on Friday, September 30th on Apple Music, and following the broadcast, fans will be able to watch it on-demand anytime.
