Festicket Continues Expansion in North America

UK-based ticketing platform Festicket, which acquired cashless POS platform Event Genius in 2019, has announced that it is resuming its planned expansion into the North American market with the opening of a new headquarters in LA as well as two new hires.

Coming on board the Festicket US team are Stephanie Rosa, who is joining as VP of Sales, and Steve Levy, who is filling the role of Consultant General Manager. Levy is the former CMO of Virgin Fest and Insomniac Events’ Head of Marketing, while Rosa is the founder of and former Strategic Partner at experiential marketing company Festivate.

Festicket is also rolling out new primary ticketing, travel, and cashless solutions via Event Genius to festivals and events in the US. Cashless and touchless tech in particular has become particularly important as a result of the pandemic, with companies in that space currently experiencing rapid growth.

Back in June Festicket announced a renewed partnership with Coachella to provide international booking services for the festival, and has also partnered with Kosmic Kingdom and SerotonINN for primary ticketing.

Prior to moving to her new role, Rosa had previously joined the Festicket team in 2019 as Business Development Manager, right before the pandemic hit and put expansion plans — and the live event industry as a whole — on pause.

“Since joining the business, Stephanie has proved herself time and time again and we’re excited to see her work alongside Steve, whose experience in the industry speaks for itself, to grow our American business from the new LA headquarters,” said Yonas Blay, Festicket CCO, said in a statement. “We’ve felt for some time that there is room for disruption in the ticketing sector and with our new end-to-end offering we now feel we’re really well placed to cement our position as a leading player across the US.”

More hires are expected in the US in the coming weeks as the expansion continues.
