Festicket and Coachella Extend Partnership

UK-based festival ticketing platform Festicket has announced a renewed partnership with the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which has confirmed dates for April 2022. Coachella, one of the largest and best-known festivals in the US, was postponed several times and was ultimately canceled two years in a row due to the pandemic, but is poised to make a big return next year.

Festicket, which first partnered with Coachella in 2019, has helped attract over 3.2 million fans to the festival’s pages and has sold tickets and travel packages to fans in 63 different countries.

The company will once again provide international booking services for Coachella for 2022 following the partnership’s previous success. Advance sale tickets, which were made available earlier this month, sold out quickly in the US, and were purchased by fans in 54 countries outside North America through the Festicket platform.

“The fact that Festicket fans from fifty four countries have already bought tickets for 2022 is such a positive sign,” Zack Sabban, Festicket CEO & Co-founder, said in a statement. “Despite all the doom and gloom the pandemic has brought, music lovers are ready to get back to the experiences they live for and are ready to support the events they love, now – when it counts – even if the events aren’t for another 9 months. That is brilliant to see.”

GA passes for the festival’s first weekend are now also sold out on Festicket’s platform, and options for the second weekend are labeled as “in high demand."

Next year’s Coachella festival will be livestreamed on YouTube for the tenth year, but it’s clear that music fans are ready and excited to attend in-person. With most of the US now opening up quickly and many live events already slated to take place in the second half of the year, any effects of the pandemic may be a distant memory by spring of 2022.

On Festicket’s future plans, Sabban added: “Everybody is well aware of the struggles the events and ticketing industries have suffered during the pandemic but having used this time to fast-track integrations with our new Event Genius offering, we really feel we’re ready to make even more strides into the United States in 2021 and beyond.”
