Glisser Launches Glisser Elements as Platforms Continue to Innovate

Over the past few months, virtual event platforms have been further evolving alongside the changing needs of events and organizers. New capabilities have included DIY-style production features, such as those released by EventMobi and Cvent, to allow planners to create high-quality video streams without needing to work with costly production teams. In addition, Bizzabo launched its new Event Experience OS and acquired TeeVid to make video production more accessible for the next phase of events

UK-based event tech company Glisser today announced the release of its own new unique feature, Glisser Elements, a virtual events software development kit geared towards enterprises, agencies, venues, and AV companies. Glisser Elements allows clients to integrate modules of Glisser’s platform into their own company websites and environments, offering them full control over the audience experience, including branding, layout, and navigation.

“Glisser Elements is our flag in the ground for where we think virtual and hybrid events are heading: seamlessly integrated into companies’ own websites and other online platforms,” said Glisser CEO and Founder Mike Piddock in a statement. “Online events are no longer a sticky-plaster to solve a short-term problem. They are establishing themselves as a core channel in our ever-evolving post-COVID world.”

He continued: “When something is this fundamental to the way a business operates, companies won’t want to send their audiences to a rebadged third-party platform environment, with a restricted set of banners they can upload, and a handful of settings they can adjust. It simply won’t be enough.”

As virtual events mature and organizers become more adept at delivering content digitally, tech providers have adapted by providing organizers with more custumization options and more control over their event productions. Glisser is betting on the logical next step including deeper integrations of event content into organizations' own online environments, which is a pretty good bet.

Glisser Elements will be available to Glisser clients along with its existing virtual and hybrid event platform, and clients will be able to work with the Glisser technical solutions team to develop a long-term events strategy that supports their overall marketing and communications goals.
