New Event Subscription Platform festivalPass Launches

The live events market is more saturated than ever with many festivals and events returning for the first time since the pandemic began, and fans now have a new way to search for and access events thanks to festivalPass, a new platform that the company describes as “the world's first live events subscription service across music, film, food & wine, theater, tech & innovation.”

festivalPass’s monthly membership program provides fans with a certain number of credits tied to their membership tier, which they can then use to access over 80,000 events across the US, including high-profile festivals like Coachella, live shows with major artists, and non-music events as well. The higher the subscription tier, the lower the cost of the tickets. festivalPass credits will also be redeemable for reduced rates at over 600,000 hotels around the world.

festivalPass aims to foster community among its members and make events more affordable for fans, in part by eliminating ticket fees, while rewarding them for their loyalty. The platform is built on blockchain technology and accepts cryptocurrency for both subscription fees and ticket payments. In June, festivalPass will also be launching the first Lifetime Founder NFT for live events “with incomparable access and utility,” according to the company.

Subscription models are still not the norm in the live event space, but they are becoming more popular, particularly with younger generations. FanRally, for example, recently launched a subscription platform for sporting events.

“Accessing tickets to live events has been a transactional, nonsocial, inefficient experience for decades,” says festivalPass Founder & CEO Ed Vincent. “Live events fans can now discover, access and get no fee tickets to over 80,000 live events of all types and sizes through their subscription membership in a community driven, social, frictionless, single source platform that rewards them for their loyalty and participation in the community. The higher tier a subscriber signs up for the lower the cost of the tickets.”
