Lost Village Festival Partners With SeatlabNFT For First NFT-Powered Experience

Web3 and NFTs are increasingly making their way out of the confines of the digital space and being leveraged for real-world applications. Last month, Lost Village Festival become one of the first festivals in the UK to deploy NFT technology at scale for fans thanks to a partnership between the event and NFT ticketing company SeatlabNFT.

According to SeatlabNFT, the company’s app was downloaded 4,500 times by fans attending the festival on both Android and iOS devices. Fans were invited to join The Lost Society 2022 by claiming an NFT membership card on the SeatlabNFT app. Those who did so were then able to access a 3D audiovisual immersive experience hidden in an abandoned arcade within Lost Village.

At the festival, Lost Society members received clues leading up to the festival about how to find and access the immersive installation, adding to the anticipation of attending the event.

The ability for fans to access NFTs and unlock unique experiences onsite at events is a growing trend within the industry and can be leveraged in many different ways to make the event experience more exciting and interactive. Lost Festival’s NFT experience presents an interesting example of how the technology might be used by other events moving forward.

“We’re excited to bring this innovative technology to the UK’s festival scene and show people that ticketing can be much more than just a form of access control,” said SeatlabNFT CEO Ryan Kenny. “We wanted to demonstrate that the opportunity to connect with fans begins when they buy tickets rather than ends as it does with current marketing and sales channels. Purchasing a ticket can, and should, be the start of a journey towards heightening engagement.”

He continued, “This partnership is the first of many we have planned to demonstrate the different aspects of our platform. Alongside helping artists and event organisers regain control of the secondary ticketing market, our priority is improving the experience of attending events for fans. We couldn’t have asked for a better festival than Lost Village as our premier showcase.”
