JUNO Appoints Megan Martin as New Director of Engagement

Digital engagement platform JUNO is actively working on expanding its mission to help organizations create year-round communities and be able to engage their audiences beyond single events. The company announced this week that it has created a new role, Director of Engagement, and has appointed seasoned eventprof Megan Martin to the position.

This announcement comes on the heels of JUNO’s recent $10 million Series A funding, which the company stated that it intended to use to build and foster strong digital communities. The appointment of a Director of Engagement — a role that also exists at other event tech companies and is becoming more common — is a concrete step toward this goal and creates a dedicated point of contact to support community and event managers engage their communities.

JUNO CEO Josh Hotsenpiller noted that further enhancing the company's customer service through this new position was an important step in line with JUNO’s vision. "Megan's knowledge and expertise in the event industry, her passion for connection and her deep understanding of how the JUNO platform allows clients to strengthen their relationship with their users, makes her the obvious choice to lead this new position,” he said in a statement.

Martin had previously been serving as an Account Executive at JUNO, hence her knowledge of the platform, and has years of prior experience in the events industry, including as President of PCMA’s Rocky Mountain Chapter.

While eventprofs have become much more comfortable with technology during the pandemic, the customer service and assistance offered by event tech providers have been essential and have helped organizations weather sometimes steep learning curves. Having an expert on hand who can support eventprofs and make sure that they fully capitalize on everything the platform has to offer when building out their strategy is an extremely valuable asset for any provider competing in the current landscape.

"I am excited to help organizations facilitate thought leadership and meet their full potential digitally, while bringing value to their brand." Martin added. "We want our clients' communities to be rich in discussion, debate, education and more. I can't wait to enrich and grow the communities across JUNO's client base."
