ASM Global Organizes Large-Scale Job Fair To Supercharge Industry Recovery

The live entertainment sector has had a rough go of things over the past two years — many of the industry’s best and brightest have been out of work, and some have even left the industry altogether to follow other pursuits. Now is an especially difficult time to be getting into live entertainment, but with the industry quickly moving towards recovery, recruiting new talent has never been more important.

With this in mind, ASM Global is organizing the largest job fair in the history of live entertainment this week from February 15th to 17th. The international fair will target countries across four regions: North America, South America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific and will hopefully help alleviate widespread staffing shortages.

ASM Global plans to hire 1,000 new employees across 100 of the world’s top venues. Candidates will be able to apply for jobs in diverse areas of the live entertainment sector, ranging from operations and food and beverage to booking, security, and guest services.

The US, Canada, and Latin America fair is scheduled for the 15th and 16th, while the UK and APAC fairs will take place on the 16th and 17th. Participating venues include Barclays Center, Buenos Aires Arena, Pennsylvania Convention Center, T-Mobile Center, and Toyota Arena.

“The return to live is just what the world needs,” said ASM Global CEO and President Ron Bension in a statement. “There’s a thrill, an excitement, that makes this business feel communal for everyone involved. Our hope is that ‘ASM Global Presents: The Next Great Opportunity’ helps ignite that excitement.”
