ASM Global Inks New Partnerships With DoorDash and Clorox

ASM Global continues to invest in the fan experience as the return of in-person events shows no signs of slowing down as we get into the busy summer event season. The venue operator has already developed and implemented its VenueShield program at its venues to facilitate a safe return to in-person events and recently announced a new multiyear partnership with Clorox to further enhance health and safety measure at venues around the country.

Through this new partnership, Clorox is now ASM Global’s Official Cleaning and Disinfecting Product Partner, and will be supplying many of its hygienic products, including disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, and electrostatic sprayers, to ASM Global venues.

In addition, the cleaning product company has also committed $1 million in tickets to sporting and entertainment events for frontline responders and healthcare workers.

ASM Global President Ron Bension commented, “Since the very start of the COVID pandemic, our focus has been on reimagining the future of live events and preparing clean and safe venues for the return of our team members, athletes, fans, partners and guests. Clorox’s industry-leading solutions allow us to continually enhance the quality of our event experiences, and we’re excited to partner with them in honoring the heroic workers that have supported all of us as we’ve navigated through the pandemic.”

ASM Global has also partnered up with delivery platform DoorDash to deploy the latter’s technology at select venues in the US. Fans will be able to skip lines and order food and beverages for pickup with the venue as this capability is rolled out in the coming months.

SAVOR, ASM Global’s culinary division, will integrate DoorDash’s platform into its current hospitality offerings. Fans onsite will be able to view menus and place order through the DoorDash app on their smartphones the same way they do outside the venue. The on-demand mobile technology network and on-site activations will officially launch on June 11th at Ontario, California’s Toyota Arena.

“Our multiyear focus on redefining the guest experiences of the future has connected us with the industry’s most advanced technology and service providers,” said ASM Global EVP of SAVOR, Shaun Beard, in a statement. “This new collaboration with DoorDash allows us to provide our in-venue event attendees with powerful, friction-free hospitality ordering solutions as well as creates greater efficiencies and new revenue opportunities for our ASM Global business partners in all the markets that we serve.”
