Samsung Debuts Superstar Galaxy on Roblox, Featuring Charli XCX

Over the next few weeks, Samsung is partnering with music artist Charli XCX in the latest metaverse brand activation on Roblox, Samsung Superstar Galaxy. Unlike other immersive, themed worlds on Roblox, such as the NFL Tycoon, Samsung’s experience, which launched last week, will only be available for a limited time.

For the next month, fans can check out Superstar Galaxy to play mini games and earn Star Power. The experience will end on June 17th with a performance by Charli XCX, during which top users will be able to join her on the virtual stage. Like other music performances on Roblox, fans will be able to catch replays throughout the weekend.

The branded experience takes place in a space-themed world, where players can build a pop-star avatar and are then equipped with a Galaxy Z Flip3 smartphone and guided by messages from Charli XCX to complete challenges and explore the galaxy. Players can also use their virtual phones to take in-game selfies of their avatars.

Fans will be able to build their own custom stages, visit those of other users, dance along to Charli XCX songs, and earn Star Power by completing challenges for a chance to perform with Charli XCX next month. The experience will be adding new content, including new zones and accessories, every Friday leading up to the performance.

“Roblox and Samsung feel like the perfect duo to extend the interaction I have with my fans,” said Charli XCX in a statement. “The partnership is one that will give my community the access and ability to experience me in ways they previously have not been able to, which is extremely exciting!”

“We’re always looking for opportunities to bring consumers new ways to interact with our Galaxy devices,” added Janet Lee, Senior Vice President of Mobile experience at Samsung Electronics America. “As more than an online game, we’re offering fans a social experience that brings together creativity, music, and entertainment in a way that’s unique for Samsung and Roblox.”
