PORTL’s Holograms Continue to Captivate Fans During Super Bowl Week

PORTL’s “holoportation” technology has slowly been taking over the world, as executives beam across continents to remotely attend meetings and events, and artists and brands leverage the innovative tech to engage fans. PORTL is also increasingly being used to display digital art and NFTs in a physical space.

Most recently, PORTL devices were set up all over LA during Super Bowl week, including at a private party hosted by the Denver Broncos in a Beverly Hills mansion with custom hologram content created for the team. It was also used at Jay Glazer's Wednesday Night Kickoff Party benefitting Merging Vets and Players (MVP) to entertain guests as they turned themselves into holograms.

"This was a crazy week — we had PORTLs all over LA, and we were even being used by one of the major TV networks to beam players to their set for interviews, says PORTL Inc. Founder and CEO David Nussbaum. “At the same time, PORTL made its New York Fashion Week debut presenting streetwear line Tombogo's new show in collaboration with Saucony — we beamed the models from his Oakland, CA studio to Manhattan's Ace Hotel, where they used our Walk feature to actually walk within the PORTL so the clothes could be modeled just as if they were on a runway. This caught the eye of Le Monde in Paris the next day!"

In addition, PORTL was front and center at Rolling Stone’s annual Super Bowl party, Rolling Stone Live, presented in partnership with Coinbase. Guests at the exclusive party were able to use the PORTL Epic to put themselves on the cover of Rolling Stone in hologram form. The event took place at Academy LA and was produced by Noah Flom and Ark Endeavors.

"We love using overlays like the Rolling Stone logo and cover lines with PORTL, because it actually enhances the sense of depth and dimensionality,” explains Nussbaum. “We've done things like this around red carpet premieres for Netflix and other shows, but this is the first time we've used a magazine cover concept publicly. You can see from the photos that this very glamorous crowd got even more elevated when they beamed into the giant magazine cover!"
