AmazeVR Releases Megan Thee Stallion VR Concert to At-Home Viewers

Earlier this year, virtual reality company AmazeVR launched its first VR concert tour, Enter Thee Hottieverse featuring Megan Thee Stallion, in AMC theaters across the US. The tour was in many ways a proof of concept for this type of virtual reality experience, and it was a huge success, with most shows selling out.

The company’s plan was always to eventually release the concert to at-home viewers to enable a wider audience to access the experience, which is now officially available for purchase on the Meta Quest App Lab store for those with a VR headset.

Interested fans can preview one of the songs included in the concert for free before deciding to purchase the full show, which is priced at $6.99 for a limited time. Following the initial launch period, the price will increase to $9.99.

“The Enter Thee Hottieverse VR Concert Tour gave fans the chance to connect with Megan Thee Stallion in a new way. Now, our at-home VR concert is the next step in sharing this experience with those who weren’t able to join us on tour,” said Steve Lee, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of AmazeVR. “We’re excited to reach more fans through the Meta Quest App, and plan to launch more concerts in 2023 through our JV partnership with K-pop giant SM Entertainment.”

The Meta Quest version of the show has added interactivity for users to experience as well as a behind-the-scenes video that is unlocked after the concert is viewed. Once purchased, the show can be accessed again and again so fans can relive the experience.

According to a recent XLIVE interview with AmazeVR’s VP of Partnerships Jamie Burgess, the company is focused on the growth of the at-home VR market, and while more VR concert tours may eventually be in the cards down the line, fans can definitely expect to see more exciting experiences that they can access from the comfort of their homes with a headset.
