2021 Emerging Leaders — Moment House’s Arjun Mehta, Nigel Egrari & Shray Bansal

XLIVE is proud to present its first-ever list of Emerging Leaders in Event Tech. Our group of 2021 winners includes young event professionals — in both B2B and live events — whose innovation, creativity, and drive are pushing the industry forward. We will be featuring all of the winners over the coming weeks, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for what they do next!

Our final Emerging Leaders feature recognizes three leaders in one: Arjun Mehta, Nigel Egrari, and Shray Bansal, the co-founders of Moment House — a social live media platform that connects artists and fans through ticketed experiences called Moments. The idea for the company was born within the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young “Dr.Dre” Academy, and it was officially launched in 2019.

Since then, Moment House has hosted processed over 1 million tickets across 168 countries and has hosted over 700 “Moments” for artists from Justin Bieber to Tame Impala. The company also recently closed a $12 million Series A round led by Forerunner Ventures to continue growing its product and its team.

In addition, Mehta, Egrari, and Bansal recently announced Moment House Japan in partnership with Japanese digital events platform Zaiko, with the goal of connecting globally recognized Asian artists with their fans around the world. Moment House Japan will launch with three new digital experiences, beginning with LA-based Japanese artist Jin Akanishi’s performance on December 25th.

“Music has always been a huge part of our lives,” say Mehta, Egrari, and Bansal, “so it was important for us to also offer a self-service platform for musicians and creators of all sizes to host one-of-a-kind digital experiences for their fans — also known as Moments.” They are currently very focused on growing the company and bringing Moment House to the masses by building a community of super fans that entice creative talent and artists to partner with them for unique digital experiences.

Mehta, Egrari, and Bansal founded Moment House right before COVID hit, which ended up being great timing for the tech they had developed, but this also came with its obstacles. “Being a startup and growing quickly during COVID presented obvious challenges, so it’s been great to start to collaborate in-person as the world opens back up,” they say. “One of the biggest opportunities we see is differentiating ourselves as the go-to destination for creatives to produce and broadcast cinematic-level digital experiences that stand out from traditional virtual events.”

This goal is something they will continue to work towards in the months and years ahead as virtual performances and the metaverse catch on among more fans and artists alike. “Looking ahead, we want to give creators self-service tools in new and exciting ways and continue expanding our experiences across various disciplines, from music to podcasts, comedy, masterclasses and beyond,” they share.

Mehta, Egrari, and Bansal believe that the future of events will be extremely interactive and that “creators and their fans will collaborate on experiences to make something truly special. There is a lot of untapped space in the digital industry that Moment House is working to unlock.”

When they’re not working on Moment House, Mehta, Egrari, and Bansal enjoy listening to music, podcasts, and spending time with friends and family. Subconsciously, however, they are always working because their hobbies are directly linked to Moment House — the more content they consume, the more creative and inspired they become.
